WE WATCHED Supernatural that night, starting season four, which Tate loaned us. We turned the lights off in the lounge room and left the kitchen to illuminate us. Watching Supernatural in the dark was much better. I sat on my side of the lounge and let Aaron have his side. Ten minutes later he pressed pause and turned to me.

“Okay. So I’m in your bad books. What do I need to have you forgive me?”

“What?” I asked, startled. “I have forgiven you. Why do you think I haven’t?”

He arched one eyebrow. “The four feet of distance between us on the lounge says you’re mad with me.”

I eyed off the space. Yes, it was deliberate, but not for the reason he thought. I was actually curled in the corner with a cushion in my lap because Jensen Ackles gave me a boner every time he smiled on the screen. I was trying to hide it.

“Fine,” I huffed and, carefully keeping the cushion on my lap, I stretched out my legs and rested them against Aaron. He nodded, satisfied I wasn’t still mad, and we watched the show. Jensen kept smiling, though. Damn actor.

Another twenty minutes in, and Aaron pressed pause again. “Okay. Give. Something is up, and I want to know what I can do to help.”

No. He really didn’t want to know, because he was straight.

“Nothing’s wrong,” I bluffed.

“Tell me.”

“No.”

“So you’re admitting something’s wrong?”

“Nothing that you can help with. Press play.”

“Tell me.”

“Aaron, you don’t want to know. So just drop the subject.”

“Tell me.”

“No.”

He stared at me. I glared back. His stare dared my glare.

“Fine,” I said and lifted the cushion from my lap. “What’s up is my dick. It’s hard, it wants something, and I’m sitting here trying to ignore it.”

He glanced down. His eyes widened. “I didn’t need to know that,” he cried.

“I told you that,” I shouted. “But you pushed.”

“You could’ve lied to me,” he said, sending worried looks my way. “Make it go away so we can watch the show.”

I laughed at his naïveté. “It’s the show that’s causing it.”

He looked at the screen. “What?”

“Jensen?” I said. “Isn’t he absolutely delicious?”

He scowled. “Who? Dean? He doesn’t have anything I don’t have.”

He was asking for it. He was just asking for it.

I launched myself through the air and attacked Aaron, trying for a headlock as I grabbed him. Aaron whooped, grabbed me back, and pushed me down on the lounge with his greater bulk.

“Get off me,” I screamed as I laughed and thrashed my legs, trying to wiggle free. “I don’t want an ugly cuss like you on me when I could be watching and dreaming of Jensen.”

Aaron grabbed my leg and forced it across my body, so I was pinned. “Tell me I’m better looking than him, and I’ll let you go.”

“No,” I puffed and pushed at his shoulders.

“Tell me,” he insisted.

I kicked out with my legs. “You didn’t like the last thing I told you.”

With a thrust I managed to get free and fell on the floor.
